Hell's Kitchen show with Crash Parallel

So, I feel obligated (well I totally am) to tell you about the show the other night at Hell's Kitchen. Sheva opened for Crash Parallel and from what I heard from friends who ARE of age, it was awesome! I can't wait until these 2 months are over so I can just be 19.
Now, I may not have been at the show, but I heard enough about it to be able to make a decent blog.
8.
Sheva played some of her debut record songs as well as a mix of some new experimental tracks for the upcoming release, which is next year! She played a solo act in front of about 80 or so people. From what I heard, she did a great job!

Crash Parallel played a 60 minute set where I guess they played their radio single "World We Know". I've heard that song before, it's pretty catchy. I've got a lot of respect for these guys. They're a a pretty sweet band!

Now, if anyone found mini show posters for The Crash Parallel / Sheva show on the front window of their car...That was me. I'm sorry...However, I'm hoping my efforts went far.

Anyway, this blogging about shows will become much easier in about 2 months when I'm actually able to go to the 19+ shows and give my own personal opinion!

Have a good one!

Ohhhh maaaaaaaan.

Soooo, sweet news! Darin has informed me that he is getting all geared up for having the rap artist, who's name escapes me, step onto the label! Woo woo woo!!! I'll find out the name and such for you guys, and post a link as soon as I can because I remember checking out his myspace not too long ago...
Also, Darin has informed me that within the next couple of weeks or so, they are looking to record a single track as promotion for the next record. Now I guess the studio isn't known at the moment, but once Darin finds that out, I'll be able to find out, and then you'll be able to find out! I, personally am ridiculously excited about this!
I guess we're also having some sort of "listening party" soon as well in order to choose the track which will be used for the single! This should be great fun!
Anyway, for my sake, leave some comments you jerks! Uncool, uncool! I'm here blogging for you, and what do I get in return? Nothing.
Bastards.
jk.

Have a good one!

Is anybody there?

Soooo, here's some updates...But wait, before you read any of that...Is anybody actually reading this? How about some friggin' comments for fuck's sake!?
Oh my goodness I swore...How unprofessional and unlady-like of me! (as if I care, I'm quite aware I have a sailor's mouth and I've done a pretty good job at hiding it up until this point). Anyway, in all honesty, if anyone is reading this...comments are always really great you know, even if their only purpose is to insult my blogging skills! I'm so fine with that because at least then I know people are reading this!!!!

Anyway, back to business;

At the moment, we are looking for investors to help out with the film. We have a lot of stuff going on and need all the help we can get. Right now we're looking for funding for the film and are looking for anyone who would be willing to help out and who wants to be a part of this!
We're looking for investors for the film project. Any replies or help is much appreciated!!!

If you wish to invest or have a copy of our business plan sent to you for our feature film, The Decision, please contact:
Darin at Muse Group Entertainment (902) 482-4243

Darin is supposed to update me on all sorts of stuff on how the funding and such is going, so I'll be able to give more specific details and such soon, so keep coming back for updates!

Man this is fun!

Have a good one!

All kinds of stuff.

Hello!

Yeah! You see that? You all know what that means? It means I wasn't lying when I said there was a second show in the works...Wait, did I even say that? I can't remember...Whatever
Anyway, lots of stuff to talk about...write about, today!
Here it goes;

So, I open up this website Darin sent me "storythemovie.com" and the first thing you see is a black screen and this:

I don't know about you but, I bet that if I was someone else I'd still want to be someone else.
Now, I'm not going to sit here and explain what is on this website, but I have provided you with the link and I expect you to take a look. It's very interesting. I promise.

This is Jon Jarema,

Darin told me to look him up, So I did. He's worked on a ton of movies most of you would probably recognize. I, Robot, Fantastic Four 2, X-Men 2 United, Snow White (My favorite) and many others.

Employment Details

  • Work History : Film
  • Job Categories: Writing, construction, drafting, set dec, continuity
  • Primary Citizenship: Canada
  • Valid Passport: Yes
Why is the fact that he has a valid passpert even important?
I copied and pasted that from the "IMDB site . "
Awesome. I see his pciture and it makes me want to speak to him in person. He looks intelligent, serious, but not too serious, nice, but knows when to get down to business...I'm going to stop now. I just imagined a scenario where he reads this. I suppose I'll deserve the "crazy" title then.

Anyway, keep checking back or else.

just some updates

So, here I am, once again sitting at the kitchen table in Darin and Sheva's home eating some stir fry and noodles that Darin just put together. It tastes pretty damn good if you ask me, honestly, I'm not trying to suck up or anything.
It's a Wednesday and the weather is complete crap. It's raining out...I knew that the weather Monday brought up wasn't going to last long...I mean, it's Halifax and the weather here is not to be trusted.
Anyway, there's quite a bit of news and stuff coming up! There's really quite a bit of stuff to look forward to.
Sheva performed at Key Largo's in Sackville this past Monday for a fundraiser for the mayor.
I wasn't there, but I guess it went really well!

We're supposed to find out whether the film is receivig it's funding sometime this week which is exciting, esspecially seeing as how the week is half over! If the film does receive it's funding then things are going to be coming our way quite quickly. Exciting! I personally haven't ever done anything like this in my life, so it's a pretty sweet learning experience.

Darin's doing a lot of work and is coming up with a lot of ideas to keep promoting Sheva, as you can see below and the myspace pages and websites are slowly, but surely being updated. So keep checking back here for updates...Maybe leave a couple of comments here and there...It helps!

Anyway, that's it for now.

Nothing

I feel like I should be updating this on a daily basis, but since even I'm not 100% sure what I should be telling you all it makes it a bit difficult.
So, tomorrow will be another day, and I'll probably be able to tell you more about what's going on for everything. I do plan on posting up some pictures and stuff of Sheva and the gang sometime in the very near future though, I just have to sort through them all first...there's hundreds, so please bare with me : )
Anyway, that's all for now really.

Have a good one.

Updates!

I've not only been given the great opportunity to work with Darin and Sheva, but I have also been given the (awesome) privilege to blog about what they've got planned! It's important that everyone receives updates at least a couple of times a week, so here begins my attempts.
Oh, the name is Jenn by the way!

Ok, so first thing's first: Music For The Cure? A second show is definitely in the works. Looking for more people to help promote and fundraise, as well as an awesome set of bands and musicians who will be playing alongside Sheva! This is about all I know about the set list at this point.
The show is going to be just as incredible as the last, I promise no disappointments. Well, I can't actually do that, but you'll just have to trust me regardless. All proceeds will once again be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, so not only will you all be enjoying an incredible concert, but you'll be helping an incredibly worthy cause.

Now, what else is going on with Granville Records?
I'll tell you!
Darin and Sheva have decided to also go into the movie production business! Darin and Giovanni Sticco have decided to produce a film written by Jonathan Sturak. I haven't read the entire script yet, but I can assure you, from what I've read so far, it's incredible. Sturak seems to be quite the talented writer. The film is titled The Decision, and will feature music written by Sheva! That's about all I'm going to tell you for now until more details on the film are confirmed. Exciting, exciting, exciting!

Anyway, if you haven't already, I urge you to visit these myspace pages!
